That being said, I have a few fun things to share with you that are slowly making our beautiful house a home. First things first- I have alot of books. This was a concern of mine moving in- they are usually not so much fun to store in a messy closet or bookshelf.. until now.
We found these in a magazine- I know they're pretty common these days but I never thought of actually buying them: Floating Bookshelves. These little guys:
hide the screws and the shelf itself using the books! With only two screws to put in, even the least handy-challenged folk (such as myself.. even though I'm not the one that put them up!) can handle them. This is how ours turned out:
Pretty snazzy eh? We got 5 of the small ones and 5 of the larger ones. And as chic as they make your walls look, they're very inexpensive! I found the smaller ones on Amazon for $8.99 and the large ones for $12.99. Maybe you would have better luck just Goog-ling them and finding a better price, but I am very happy with our magic-book-holders!
